Rules
- For exactly 8 players who sign up on their own โ no partner needed.
- Mix: 3 quick rounds to 10 points with a new partner every round. Points are individual, as in Americano.
- Lock: the mix standings form fixed pairs by snake โ 1st + 4th, 2nd + 3rd, 5th + 8th, 6th + 7th.
- The fixed pairs play a round-robin (3 rounds); the two top pairs meet in the last round.
- Then the organizer either finishes on the round-robin table or adds a final (1st vs 2nd pair) and a 3rd-place match.
- Match limit: one set (6:0-6:4, 7:5, 7:6) ยท Target roster size: 8.
Mix stage
- Rounds 1-3 are quick matches to 10 points. You get a different partner every round and never play with the same person twice.
- Every point your team wins counts for you personally. The mix table ranks players by points, then wins, then point difference.
Locking the pairs
- When the mix is fully scored, the organizer locks the pairs: 1st + 4th, 2nd + 3rd, 5th + 8th and 6th + 7th of the mix table.
- From then on the mix scores are frozen, because they decided the pairs.
Pairs stage
- The four pairs play a round-robin: every pair meets every other pair once, and the two top pairs meet in the last round.
- Matches go to the configured points-per-match total โ or are played as one set each if the organizer picked sets.
- Played for points: each pair keeps both players' mix points and adds every point it scores as a pair; the total decides.
- Played as sets: a set is won or lost. Pairs rank by sets won, then head-to-head, game difference, games won, and finally the mix points both players brought along.
- Optional finals: after the round-robin the organizer can add a final (1st vs 2nd pair) and a 3rd-place match (3rd vs 4th). Their results decide places 1-4.
